I'm loving the practice of celibacy and am aware that there are very few resources on the internet about it--and even fewer that make much sense for our lives today. So I'm trying to find some to share with you. This first article comes from Alice Christensen, a yogini and author. It is primarily about seeing through the mind, which is the aspect of celibacy that I enjoy the most.
Other interesting teachings in the article include a conversation with a yogi speaking about cultivating, through celibacy, a sexual feeling towards life that is constant and a million times stronger than the ecstasy of a sexual orgasm. Whoah. I'm not there yet, nor do I think that's the purpose of the practice, but this article is definitely worth a read.

I find celibacy easy and comfortable.. too easy for my partners. I have been looking for more understanding of the spiritual teachings around celibacy.
hi, i just joined this community and am surprised that despite its endeavor towards evolution of conciousness, there are relatively few posts/discussions about celibacy/bramacharya. i dont consider myself the most spiritual person, but i dont think one could really claim to be such if they do not practice celibacy to a respectable degree. anyway, if u are looking for a resource, http://celibacy.info is very good in providing daily audio clips and interesting links, tho it may be somewhat in your face. anyway, as someone who has tried, failed, tried, failed, and come to grips with at least not seeking out self-titallation, it is good to know some people in this community share the same view, as i never felt after breaching my “streak” that it was “totally worth it” or “cleansing”. i dont think i will regret the orgasms i didn't have on my death bed xD i'm going on yet another month so far, and i hope to continue enjoying the benefits of increased energy, more clear and wholesome awareness, and less destracting, unfruitful thoughts.
